Andy has spent over twenty-two years in the private investment industry as senior lender, mezzanine capital provider, limited partner/equity co-investor and, for the past twelve years, as a control investor. Prior to CPC Partners, Andy was Partner at Norwest Equity Partners, a middle market private equity firm headquartered in Minneapolis that has raised over $7.0 billion in capital. Andy has worked closely with founders, management teams and served on numerous boards of private companies across a variety of industries including industrial, distribution, consumer, building products, and business and tech-enabled services. Prior to Norwest Equity Partners, Andy worked at Northwestern Mutual Capital and ABN AMRO.
Andy graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and received his M.B.A from Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
Prior to Carlson, Taylor spent nearly ten years with Norwest Equity Partners, a middle market private equity firm headquartered in Minneapolis that has raised over $7.0 billion in capital. While at NEP, Taylor was involved in the oversight of multiple investments, representing over $500 million of invested capital. Taylor worked closely with management teams and served on multiple boards across diverse industries including consumer, distribution, agriculture and tech-enabled services. Prior to NEP, Taylor worked in investment banking at Piper Jaffray & Co. and Morgan Keegan. Taylor also spent a year in East Africa volunteering for an organization focused on malaria prevention. He currently serves on the board of One2One Mentoring, a non-profit provider of in-school mentoring and law enforcement training in Brooklyn Park.
Taylor graduated Summa Cum Laude from Vanderbilt University and received his M.B.A. with Distinction from Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
Emma joined Carlson in 2019 after working at Norwest Equity Partners, a middle market private equity firm headquartered in Minneapolis that has raised over $7.0 billion in capital. While at NEP, Emma was involved in the evaluation and execution of numerous transactions and worked closely with management teams to oversee investments across a variety of industries including consumer, healthcare, industrial, and distribution. Prior to NEP, Emma worked in operations at a privately held healthcare IT company and in investment banking at TripleTree. Emma started her career as a C.P.A. at Deloitte & Touche.
Emma graduated from the University of Notre Dame and received her M.B.A. from Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
Cory joined Carlson in 2019 after working as a Director at Stone Arch Capital Partners, a middle market private equity firm headquartered in Minneapolis. At Stone Arch, he sat on a number of portfolio company boards while working closely with management teams to oversee investments across a variety of industries. Prior to Stone Arch, Cory was a Director at PWC working in their M&A Advisory practice and specialized in providing strategic, business and financial advice on acquisitions and divestitures for private equity clients.
Cory is primarily responsible for all financial, administrative and compliance responsibilities for Carlson’s fund, while also supporting the structuring, financing and due diligence efforts on investment opportunities.
Cory received his Bachelor of business administration degree in accounting from St. Johns University and is a Certified Public Accountant (inactive).
Prior to joining CPC Partners, Ali was an analyst at Northwestern Mutual Capital, a provider of private capital with over $40 billion of assets under management. In her over two years at NMC, Ali worked with multiple deal teams and aided in analyzing and investing in numerous private debt and equity transactions across a wide range of industries, including food, healthcare, and business services.
Ali graduated Magna Cum Laude from Boston College’s Wallace E. Carroll School of Management where she received a BS in management with concentrations in finance and marketing and a minor in international studies.
